  1. Except he didn't. He never mentioned race. Everybody suffered back then. You think poor white blue collar workers had it good in the factories 100 years ago? People think the economic classes are divided now? It's got nothing on what went on back in the day. If him personally feeling bad about the way America rose to prominence made you lose all respect for him, then you have some serious soul searching to do. All of his life's work out the window because he feels bad about what happened way back when? Sounds like somebody is triggered. It's okay to recognize facts for what they are, and for him to take those facts and feel about them how he will. How that affects you is beyond me.
