@urbansocially I doubt he knows about her other than the fact she's a host on The View. I know the same and have seen her before but other than The View I know zero about her. I bet most people are like me and give 2 other facts about her.

I disagree with his notion that everyone sees race. There are so many times when I'll see some dude talking about something and I think "This is a dude talking about something" and then he says "And as a black man..." and suddenly I'm very aware it's a black man talking about something. It's like how some people can see a stage play and still get emotionally invested. Of course you know it's a play and it's a fake script and those are just actors but that's not where your focus is even though you can see the edges of the stage itself. Technically understanding someone has a race isn't the same as "seeing race" I don't think.
