@Krpano I assume you've never tried it then and are going on assumptions?

30lbs of muscle in 30 days, au natural? On 15 min a day? Unless he's a genetic anomaly that claim is utter nonsense.

Do you know this from personal experience because you've tried fasting? No? Didn't think so. Also, like D. says: You clearly didn't watch the video.

@zaheidiqbal1 Did you just complain about people making generalizations about Muslims based on their personal experiences, followed by: "Majority of Muslims I know..."? Stop playing the victim card when nobody is attacking you.

You mean they intermittent fast. They do not go for 30 full days without food, as a rule.

I tried the grazing all day thing where you never get hungry cuz you're always eating and I hated it. I hated watching the clock and then stuffing a bit of food down my throat that I didn't even want every couple hours. I do a 16/8 now and it works way better for me personally. I recently was away for a few days and busy so I accidentally ate just one meal a day (pizza and pop) for almost 4 straight days, including one day over over 24hrs of no food in which I wasn't even hungry, and I felt amazing. Clearly pizza and pop isn't a long term plan but I was shocked because with only eating that junk, and so little of it, I thought I'd feel awful but I felt fantastic.

If you intermittent fast you'll probably eat slightly larger meals than normal, but not by much. It will probably be a calorie reduction, but the vast, vast, vast majority of people eat too many calories anyway, even thin people. You'd be surprised how much less you can consume and feel exactly the same. It also means less shopping, cooking, cleaning, and spending $!

If you are with child then it's not recommended for damn sure. Other than that, just listen to your body and use it as a guide.

Best of luck with all your goals, Garry!

Perhaps you should try to do a regular calorie restricted/healthy eating diet to lose weight and get off the medication first. Who knows, maybe fasting is the shortcut though. Either way, from everything I've read a great side effect of fasting is that your body eats the excess skin so you don't get that saggy skin that so many get when they lose a lot of weight quickly.

Sorry for you loss, that sucks. That's a pretty damn extreme form of fasting though. Much different than a 3-4 day a few times per year, or a 16/8 intermittent fast, type deal.

Yes. Some people actually find mental clarity, whereas others go up and down with the mental aspects.

"You can't not eat for a year and live". That guy and his doctor and his doctor's peer reviewed study beg to differ, but I guess you have inside knowledge they don't.

The regular juicing thing would probably make you feel hungry. It's still food, just in liquid form. But again, you are NOT fasting if you're consuming food so not only would it make you hungry, but it would be literally impossible to do that while fasting, by definition.

Try it. You'll be surprised.

I tried to do a 7 day fast and the second night I felt nauseous on a level I can't even explain. Trying to eat some food again was one of the worst experiences of my life. Nowadays I do a 16/8 and I just went over a day without a meal just by accident, so maybe my body is ready now.
