  1. Everything from this channel that is against meet with a grain of salt. He's definitely been anti-vege/vegan for a long time now so despite the title, I knew it would be a hit piece anyway. People are pouring absurd amounts of money into trying to make this stuff economically viable. Is the guy who is trying to get his PhD smarter and more knowledgable than rich investors who are pouring billions into this? Just because we don't know how to do something right now, doesn't make it impossible. Explain an iPhone to somebody working with a vacuum tube computer. I knew this video is going off the rails when he started talking about stuff like "where will we get the metal". There is absolutely not a lack of metal available for mining. I appreciate the quantities involved, like how the people who want electric cars don't understand how much metal will be required, but that doesn't mean it's not there and there aren't people willing to mind it. To put a finer point on it: I don't really trust anything that only shows me one side. This video makes absolutely no bones about the fact that it's purposely trying to show only the negatives, which, as of now are "we don't yet fully understand how we are going to make big breakthroughs in this thing that's in its infancy".
