  1. Overall this is the best video I've seen on UBI. I really wish a UBI advocate would show EXACTLY where the money would come from. Since nobody can show actual dollars and sources, it's impossible to formulate a solid opinion one way or the other. Which of the references in the description show 1:40 to be true (people with money consume more drugs and alcohol than poor people)? This may be true when comparing minimum wage earners to people earning twice that, but for goddamn sure it doesn't add up overall, and for goddamn sure if you gave the poor people way more money they'd abuse even more. Go to ANY really poor area and find me someone who's totally clean and sober. I've been in the trades all my life and for damn sure the lower income guys drink/smoke/party worse than the high income earners. Slums have enormous drug problems that dwarf the wealthy areas. When you are super poor or have mental health issues, substance abuse is incredibly common as a coping mechanism. Upper middle class people aren't getting fucked up and nearly the rate lower middle class people are. It's not even close. At least in North America.
