1:09:30 so far I like this woman but I cringe when she answers questions by deflecting them like a typical politician. Joe asks about minimum-wage costing some jobs and she 100% sidesteps his point and only talks about the benefits. I’m really happy that Joe questioned her on this and also right after on the affordable housing thing. It seems this woman would do herself well to get some really intelligent economic advisers who can get her up to speed because so far on the things that deal with money she has been talking in terms of platitudes that progressives say but can’t back up. She seems intelligent enough that she can get up to speed and be well informed but right now she sounds like she has some work to do. This is especially important because if she talked like this on the campaign trail and then ran smack into reality upon election she would be accused of selling out or flip-flopping or whatever when it was just a case of her having to deal with the realities of the situations as they came to her as opposed to being able to deal with them ideologically.

She sounds like she has some good ideas and a solid foundation but she needs a few more years of seasoning until she’s been around the block a couple times. One example is that she said we are closer now to nuclear war than we ever have been. We were once literally in a standoff that was basically the toss of a coin. That was during the Cold War. Right now we are way friendlier with China and Russia then we were in those days. I think maybe when she is in her mid-40s she will be a fantastic candidate but she needs to sit back and observe for a few more years yet. Update: at 2:29:50 she talks about how the government is not saying they will invest “ not just trillions but hundreds or thousands of trillions” into bunkers. OK, here’s where I get off the bus. She definitely needs another decade of seasoning and to have somebody like Ron Paul fill her in on what economics are all about because I don’t think she has any concept of how much money $100 trillion is. Plus, when you get into thousands you are now into quadrillions, not trillions. For sure she is not ready yet.
