@Chaelsonen What's wrong with credit scores? If you default on your loans and make fuck-all money, why would a bank lend you money to buy a house or a credit card company give you a card? There has to be a way to let lenders know what the risk is. You saying you would lend money equally to everyone you know? No, you'd prioritize on the ones who'd probably pay you back. That's just common sense. Plus, you are 100% in control of your credit score and it's not up for government interpretation. You either pay your bills or you don't. Who you marry, what you believe politically etc doesn't matter.

@cpthornman I'm hoping to get my income online so I can leave Canada if things get too nuts. That sounds like a nutty prepper thing to say but the past few years have made me fear things I never thought possible in my lifetime.
