@HireTargets Somebody else paid for the roads you use everyday. Do you honestly believe your taxes could pay for even an arm's length of road, but you still use those roads for free. Why do you have to be "that guy"?

@InsidiousJazz Because Swedes find reasons to be butthurt. The Law of Jante is very strong in Swedish culture and Scandinavia in general. Being judgemental is as common as breathing to Swedes.

@Paulftate Elon took money from Russian oligarchs in order to take Twitter private. Now his secret investors tell him how to act on Twitter since he owes them billions.
1
@anacc3257 Other social media like Facebook isn't controlled by Russian oligarchs. Elon's secret group of investors that he borrowed from to take Twitter private was discovered to include Russian oligarchs. Facebook just banned Russia Today on its services.

@yanec9806 You mean the trainwreck in East Palestine, Ohio that the state governor refused any help from federal disaster because the governor was GOP and the president is Democrat? He'd rather people suffer than be seen letting Biden help.
1
@Hairysteed You mean Comrade Elon after it was discovered Russian oligarchs give him money to take Twitter private. Now they control him.

@hausdorffspace Were The Troubles still going on in Ireland when you were growing up? I imagine Ukraine would look like Northern Ireland in 1970s if Ukraine lost this war or forced into freezing the war.

@ИмяФамилия-н5ь2б Possibly from the amount of washing machines that Russians are taking home from Ukraine?
1
@RD-2709 If they can call war "a special military operation", then they can call pointing out hypocrisy "being butthurt"

@Anon738 Ukraine is to Russia what Taiwan is to China, a pot of greater wealth being targeted for its wealth.

@ИмяФамилия-н5ь2б I've noticed that comments that are too big don't get posted. But when I cut it half, or even a few sentences, the post sticks. Maybe you're writing a wall of text?

@ИмяФамилия-н5ь2б This channel is from a Russian raised in Chelyabinsk and you're ignoring what he's said for years about his childhood in Russia. During the Soviet era, the heavy industry jobs were in Ukraine. Shipbuilding, tanks, steelmaking, etc. Soviet Russians moved to Donbas region to get those good paying jobs.

@ИмяФамилия-н5ь2б Ukraine makes rockets like Паляниця and the Р-360 «Нептун» which sunk the Москва. "If he says how bad it was for him to live in Chelyabinsk, it doesn't mean that there is no place in the world where it would be even worse" is all or nothing thinking, one step short of whataboutism. It doesn't have to be the worse place ever, That mindset is fixated on ranking and pecking order. Rigid hierarchies are a sign of weakness as they prevent freedom to adapt to changing circumstances. And the world is always changing.

@ИмяФамилия-н5ь2б Roman's thesis is that living standards outside of Moscow & St Petersburg are far below-average, which is why he moved from Chelyabinsk to St Pete. How is your thesis more valid if you've never lived in Russia like he did? There's also Natasha's Adventures (previously Yeah Russia!) experience growing up in Спасск-Да́льний, which was less developed than Chelyabinsk. Or Niki Proshin who was raised near Омск within Siberia, but also moved. Konstantin Samoilov's channel focuses on economics rather than travel blogging. I'll bet he'd have more facts and figures about the Russian economy than either of us.

@ИмяФамилия-н5ь2б Why is Tuva at the bottom? Tuva has nearly double the GDP of Ingushetia. Tuva is higher than Chechnya or Dagestan. Grozny (2003) was called the most destroyed city on Earth, with not a single building left undamaged. Has the living standards recovered in 20 years?

@ЭлинаВоронова-и8я Perun put a video this week on the Ukraine economy. It's doing better than economists expected. He did a video on the Russian economy using data from Russian central bank, and they do not say "one trillion dollars" or "decade". Why aren't you using the data from Russian sources?
1
@barsbay7598 No, it's all because the secret investor group that bailed out Musk when he was forced to buy Twitter, which was discovered to have Russian oligarchs in that investor group. Twitter wasn't pro-Russian before that.
1
@anthonymanderson7671 why would being gay be unafrican? Africa isn't even a country.

@HireTargets Everyone is needy at times. From the kid getting a lunch at school to Elon getting a bailout from Russian oligarchs when he didn't have the money to take Twitter private or Melvin Capital getting bailed out when they lost all their money during the GameStop short squeeze, due to group action from r/wallstreetbets
