@texazwhyte2791 US inflation is down. US unemployment is down. Producing new tanks for the US to replace the 30 year old tanks sent to Ukraine is creating new well paying jobs for Americans. Infrastructure reconstruction is creating more jobs for Americans. Crime in US is down, consumer spending is up.

@texazwhyte2791 "cutting interest rates" does not mean printing more money. cutting interest lowers mortgage rates, which increases home sales and saves current homeowners more in their pocket. increased home sales leads to more construction jobs created. Did you get "printing more money" bit from social media gossip? People will say anything there.

@thomasthereal4067 1974 was fifty years ago, not 40. The F-35 requires much more infrastructure to support, which limits its use, compared to JAS 39 Gripen, which was designed with good short-field performance for a defensive dispersed basing plan (Bas 90) in the event of invasion.

@Andreas-gh6is The Ukrainian aircraft can use bombs or glidebombs. If Ukraine can get Franken-SAMs to work, they can work the same magic with other munitions. Ukraine has got generations of experience from being the heart of Soviet military production.

@romailto9299 It's not Russian nukes that contain the US. It's the US election. The 1853 Crimean War didn't last 5 years and it bankrupted Imperial Russia, which sold Alaska to the United States.

@richard2218188 The "west" had a choice between Ahmad Shah Massoud (who kept modern Taliban and the Soviets in the '80s out of the Panjshir) or Hamid Karzai (a ivory tower politician with no military experience). When Karzai's money dried up, his influence through corruption went with it. bin Laden was so scared of Ahmad Shah Massoud "the Lion of the Panjshir" that he would call off 9/11 if Massoud couldn't be assassinated before it.

@richard2218188 Russia lost the First Chechen War. Putin had to bribe one of the opposition leaders in order to win the Second Chechen War. Even now, the son of that leader is extorting Putin for millions to keep Chechnya from breaking away again.

@nikolaypetrov9789 Trump can't even build the Wall. He didn't get rid of Obamacare. He acts like he's on a reality TV show, not a leader of a country. If Trump gives up on the war, it's a sign to China that the US is weak. Expect prices to be so much more expensive from China. If Russia ended the war now, wages would collapse. So many companies depending on government contracts would go under. How many millions would leave looking for jobs?

@ari_a2764 Ukraine's biggest problem isn't manpower. It's how to adapt strategy when promised aid does not show up. You can't clear a city with promise notes.
