@altaimountain "inflation is always a monetary phenomena" is an oversimplification. Simple models are opium of the mind in an increasingly complex world.

@christianlibertarian5488 According to other economists, Milton Friedman is wrong. Making "something always..." claims is questionable. Desiring an oversimplified model of the world does not help when the world does change.

@kalacaptain4818 welcome to economics, it's more philosophy than dismal science. People are not rational actors and should not be assumed such in economic models.

@gareth4045 "usage changes according to context" sounds like a step toward post-truth ideas. You're offering vibes, not "cold hard fact". How you communicate shouldn't change what you communicate.
