  1. This is Western propaganda bullshit... ask any Chinese person lmao. The vast majority of Chinese people are satisfied with their government. The CCP has lifted more than 800 million people out of poverty since 1978- lowering the 90% rate to less than 2%. Yes, sure, there is censorship. But the Chinese value their economic prosperity and social stability much more than their democratic liberties. The end isn't democracy in and of itself: the end is a good life. If the CCP can give the Chinese people a good life, then they're happy. If government is a social contract, who the hell are we to tell the Chinese people what is or isn't good for them? I don't understand why Westerners keep trying to tell China how it should run itself, when the Chinese people are happy with how it's running already. China has requirements for companies that wish to do business with it... okay... but those requirements only apply to mainland China. Why the fuck are people so angry about something that doesn't affect themselves personally?
