If, through legal action, the Republicans somehow find reasonable doubt in the election results, the whole thing could be thrown out and the final decision could be left to the House of Representatives as it did in 1801, 1825, and 1877. In that case, Trump could win. The popular and electoral votes don't matter in the House. Only the state count does. And there are more Republican states than Democrat ones.
