  1. I don't see Jeff Beck as being uncopyable. I do it, if I want to. What's Jeffs' big technique, using the volume knob. I grew up watching Nashville players doing that with Teles. Using an Ernie Ball volume pedal not only allows a deeper volume effect if you want it, it allows more travel for the volume level, letting you do much more. And that much more also includes using all your fingers on the fret-board, and you don't have to strain your hand to keep it positioned for volume knob use. If this is troubling for you, please, I can redeem myself by describing a Nashville trick, how to make a Strat or Tele sound exactly like a banjo.
