Jeff is being very diplomatic here, helping the music business. Nobody can sound like Jimi onstage, not even Jimi, because his albums were produced by using all the modern scientific methods and guitar technique, with other guitar players dubbing in. Jimi was part of the British Invasion we still get to hear. Jeff! It might be time for you to do a better Greensleeves. no... no... don't go acoustic...

@drivinsouth651 : Wow! You really are working hard at being a hater. While you're talking about meth, you must have too much Drano in your meth mix. When I bought my first Stratocaster in 1970, after seeing Jimi Hendrix, I carried it around with me all the time too, what you have to do as a musician so you feel at home with your instrument, singing and songs, everywhere you go. I'm going to big concert in three days as a ticket holder, but I'll be carrying my guitar strapped on and I'll probably be asked to come up for a song or two. That's how I like to live. How about you?

@jammer3618 : I saw Jimi Hendrix in 1969 at Maple Leaf Gardens. He was a live act, but his studio albums were put together with many musicians in on it, part of the British Invasion. When the C.I.A. asked Magnavox to build the worlds' first two twelve-track tape recorders, they gave one to Jimi Hendrix, a former US Air Force radar technician. Jimi is the most overdubbed and tape-tricked musician there ever was.
