  1. We're seeing a documentary narrated by a man in English who doesn't have a Scottish accent. There are no Scots natives. The original Scots were political refugees from the Middle East and further refugees from Dark Ages diseases, further isolated by Hadrians' Wall. The land now known as Scotland was the northern salmon fishing grounds for many southern people, because the warm ocean current meant the beaches didn't freeze in the winter. Scots are world travelers and many are known for their work to prevent the worst excesses of European colonization. Many of the inventions that define decent human life all around the world originated in Scotland. They don't teach our history. Bay-an-uck-let, blessings on you.
