Jim Garrett: Can you show me where it says in the Constitution and Bill of Rights that a tourist attraction, what Mount Rushmore was built as, is covered? You must be reading President Trumps constitution and bill of rights. His constitution is bad and he has to use his right and left to get a drink.

@scovserbcurmudgeon6818 What you say is true, but that happened after the original promoter went to Washington to ask for financial help. The constitution could use some updates. The founders describe America as being overseas from enemies who can't land a successful continental invasion. Need I say that was before electricity? Hey! What you are describing as some racist reality is actual government policy, bringing in "migrant workers" to do the jobs, the work, that Americans don't want to do. @barbaravance6774 Do you remember Deep Purple and their album cover "Deep Purple in Rock"? 1970. That was like Mount Rushmore with their faces. I would use the Beatles now. Why blast it away, re-carve it as a new national project. Make it bigger and more culturally inclusive. It would be a lot of outdoor labor but national pride could lift everyone up. Here in Canada we call it being multi-cultural. And get rid of all the rubble so the base looks natural. Use it to build something. Get people to laser etch Rushmore rocks with images for sale and take requests. Stone... deep stone... hard rock... deeper stone... Considering The Statue of Liberty was made in France and donated to America, Mount Rushmore has got to be the biggest monument to America there is. If it stands, other symbols of America need to be added to round it out. Don't let it become the biggest tombstone in the world.

@reharl4953 That "grand experiment" line worked at the time. It was better than saying we want to take this country away from the English, French, Spanish, Mexicans and everyone else, to become slave-owning kings of our own "new world".

I would use a parable, asking if you understand "The British Invasion", a cultural attack, that we still pay, not loyalties for, but royalties. English did that, their motive money. Redefining America is a good thing. They have a pornographic society. That won't change.

@emperorofbrazil6374 America is the evil empire, no doubt about that. Past President James T. Buchanan was a Scottish Reverend. He didn't want to start a civil war. How does he fit into your limited view of history? Israel is just a nuclear footprint for America in the MIddle East and a place for Americans to do things they wouldn't do at home.

@reharl4953 You could say that. British aristocracy always want you to mention them. But they became irrelevant to modern business after the abdication, early 1900's. Now it's corporate with government oversight, same as North America. Your original comment, this is an attack on culture, is correct, only in that Mount Rushmore symbolizes one culture, the empire builders, a small part of the American wilderness back then. My Scottish ancestors sent natives to universities in Scotland so they could properly represent themselves in the English and French courts of pre-Canada. That's why natives have it different here than in America. General Washington had an extermination policy for natives, $25 a scalp. Natives didn't scalp, calling taking hair a coup, what a warrior did to humiliate an opponent after winning the fight. Coup is pronounced coo.
