Comments by "" (@johnwattdotca) on "'Completely on brand': Trump refuses to sign Illinois pledge promising not to overthrow government" video.
I don't see this as coming from honesty. I see him as having his alternate reality going for so long the inertia has caused him to do the opposite thing, when signing should have been too easy, just sign, and live another day your way. It's going to take until after the election to see if he keeps this pledge, so who cares?

Who cares about you? Your end user name is more than just idiotic.

You don't get to take over the Republican Party as a non-elected, political outsider, without fronting for the Bush family.

I don't see logic. I think the inertia of his alternate reality prompted this, doing the opposite. In all reality, he should have signed it. That's all it was, another opportunity for Trump to wield his signature. Nobody would know if he was going to keep the pledge until after the election, so who cares.

You're being too generic as an American when you're publishing on a global website. And when the job of being a politician is helping people compromise, a promise shouldn't be part of the equation.

@dienomo You are missing something. Past President Trump isn't the most popular politician in the country. He's the most infamous, notorious.
