At first, college members didn't have to submit the name of the person who won the election, they could pick anyone, and after a few years they passed a law saying the person who won had to have their name submitted. Are you saying something that began like this is going to become an honest and open organization, all by itself? George W. Bush and Donald Trump lost the popular vote, and the Electoral College put them in. It does work this way.
