I was "accidentally sold" the first Jaguar XKE exported to Canada,
a 1962 that was a converted D type, what the first two years were,
before the factory was built.
I could be idling in third gear at thirty miles an hour,
and putting it into first gear, putting my finger into a wheel hole,
pushing the pedal and spinning the wheel,
I would pull a u-turn and be going back on the other side of the road.
My jag went over 155 miles an hour,
and if it had racing carbs, it would have gone over 200.
The stories I could tell, and this car saved my life.
