The "eye of a needle" was the name of a door in a wall around a city that only one man could walk get through, a form of security against soldiers. A camel was too big.

Your father is correct. The producer of this video doesn't know what an eye of a needle is, in the Holy Bible. It was a door, a security door in a wall around a city that only one man could get through at a time. A camel was too big. Same for a horse or cow.

@kenchristie9214 The kneeling part comes from Mormon teaching.

@stantorren4400 You believe this video, it doesn't mean everyone else has to. I probably didn't watch the entire video because it's shallow and generic. "Did scholars mistranslate Jesus's famous saying?" is part of the video title. Does this mean this video producer isn't a scholar? Yes. The word "mistranslate" isn't proper English and he spells Jesus' as Jesus's, totally wrong. That's not even being intelligent.

@stantorren4400 I know Proper English. The Americanization, or dumbing down, of Proper English is supported by American spell-check. Stan's is short for Stan is, and Stans' shows possession..

@MotorcycleWrites As far as the camel and the eye of the needle being the title of this video, it took too long to get there. I was gone by then.

@stantorren4400 I probably didn't watch the entire video because I thought it was too shallow, or generic, as you are. I have never seen Tik Tok and don't know what "ffs" means.

@turkleton4783 I could make a video and cite different sources. Does that mean you would believe me? Let me correct your English so you can get away with American spell-check, what dumbs down the English language. Turkleton's here means Turkleton is here. Turkletons' means Turkleton owns it. Jesus' is all you need, pronounced Jesus-us.
1
@turkleton4783 I can save you the effort. I didn't say I was going to make a video. I said if I made a video would you believe it? How do you progress with your spirituality, believing the fanciest video you see? That's like believing the Holy Bible is the only important book on earth, such a shallow perspective.

@FD_and_B It doesn't mean a gate. It's an opening. If eye of a needle, how it looked for a camel to go through, doesn't do it for you, I don't know how to say it in any of those Arabic languages. Does this mean you didn't read Aladdin and His Magic Lamp or Ali Baba and His Forty Thieves in high school?
1
@FD_and_B You just want to be a hater who has to be right. You're taking me back where I was a few replies ago. Did you read the historic Aladdin and His Magic Lamp and Ali Baba and His Forty Thieves, that's where I got it first in grade school. You must not watch the history channels I watch exploring ancient sites in the Middle East. I feel sorry for you, knowing an eye of a sewing needle and not believing in the eye of a needle, because it means you'll never get up into the eye of the tiger. How's your third eye doing? Is it for knitting yarn? That was fun.

@Joso997 You might be thinking wicked like a Disney character. The word "wicked" comes from wick and being wicked. Being wicked can be said to be bad because wicking something to burn it uses up a resource.

An arc was ordinary for ancient peoples. It was like a boat but was flat on top and sealed the load inside. As floating level in the water it was easy to pull as a barge.
