I'm an old sign-maker. The Dennys' sign was like a big sail up high in the air, meant for long distance. It had to be twenty feet wide and twelve to fifteen feet high, huge and heavy, an industrial construction. You have to hang the plastic, not built like a solid box, so it moves in the wind, even when it's freezing. That makes it a hollow box, and it allows for more wind circulation, not being a solid or sealed object.

@Omni0404 The biggest lettering I ever used was four foot tall Helvetica medium, for the side of an airport, so airplanes coming in from Lake Erie could see it. That was painting on the side of a building, not installing an illuminated sign.

@iwouldliketoorderanumber1b79 I don't see the sign-makers as being responsible, not after all this time. I still see it as being an old car lot or gas station sign, not seeing Dennys' as needing a highway pylon sign that far up in the air. That means it was manufactured and then changed.

It wasn't anybodys' fault, but it was captured on camera.

It's just an old sign and it was wind damage. Dennys' lawyers will have new lawsuits to defend.

I'm an old sign-painter. You'd be surprised how specific wind damage can be with an illuminated sign.

@ButterfatFarms If you want to be the all-knowing god of sign-making, it's on you.
