  2. It's too easy to listen to the words of a wise man who is adding to those of a prophet. In ancient Roman, or Latin, now Italian, Emperor Constantine spoke as he died, confessing, and his confession to the god of Jesus of Nazareth was used to change the Roman Empire to the Holy Roman Empire, using a new word, christian. That was a political move, as many Roman senators had become believers in Jesus of Nazareth. Christian came from the Greek word christos, and defined a Roman who believed in Jesus of Nazareth. Christians are who Romans killed in the arenas, the only time people weren't given weapons to fight against the animals they used. This death-bed confession became accepted in the Catholic Church, when it's not in the Holy Bible at all and Jesus of Nazareth never talked about it. What is dangerous even now is having a name for god, people still willing to fight over whose god is the real god because of the name in a different language or culture. I don't care what kind of death-bed confession or statement of belief in a god you have, that's not how spiritual life works. It is only common sense to see that living your life as a good person, trying to preserve your love, your love of family, using your compassion and generosity for other people, is trying to uplift yourself, improving yourself, what all prophets describe as preparing yourself for a better heavenly and eternal life. May All Peace Be Upon You. There is only one living god, as we all are part of His eternity.
