Saying conservative is a generic thing to say, like saying left or right. It doesn't specify a policy or person, just something for angry and hateful people to say. In countries with Conservative Parties, being conservative means watching out for what you have already, and taking your time before you decide to do something new. We all live conservative lives in our own ways, just as we get liberal with the amount of sauce we put on food, if we want to.

@tss9886 : I agree with your nasty assessment, even if I would say blunt. I moved into a new city last May when the lock-downs started and spent more time in You Tube doing comments than I did talking with real people. I surprised myself how agitated and insulting I got with Trump supporters when there was more profanity and insanity than there is now. However, that was better than getting into Ontario politics or I might have thrown my computer out the window.

I see the first comment as saying Republicans are conservative, and if you leave the Republican party become independent so you don't make the Democratic Party "more conservative". This is a round-about way of saying don't join the Democrat Party.
