Jesus of Nazareth said "Make no graven images of me". See any non-Christian art lately?

What do you care about religious beliefs. Jesus of Nazareth said "Make no graven images of me". See any non-Christian art lately?

@blnunya6689 I think she is saying if she was offended by any of these topics it wouldn't matter, she wouldn't fire the teacher. She should just say she doesn't care.

@John-jz7zz Do you see yourself as a Christian? Jesus of Nazareth said "Make no graven images of me". See any non-Christian art lately?

@c.eb.1216 I didn't know the Bible could talk. However, I understand where you're coming from. I think you're imposing too much on yourself. What you are quoting was told to a very different group of people than you, and it never occurred in North America. According to The Living God in the Holy Bible, the lands and waters of North America were covered by His Spirit, His Great Spirit. Have you been in touch?

@WanderingRationalist I'm intrigued. I thought typing "non-Christian art" was semi-confusing, my intention. But you typing you haven't seen any lately, but like the memory enough to want to see more, makes me wonder what you'd be looking for? Off the cuff, have you ever seen the authentic paintings on the Sistine Chapel of Adam and Eve, the Serpent and The Tree of Knowledge, that shows what knowledge the Tree of Knowledge and The Snake taught Adam and Eve? There is a before and after.

I am concerned for you and what images you could be offended by. Why pollute your brain?
1
@blnunya6689 No, you had an appropriate reply for the original comment, I came at it from a different perspective. It was a long day for me too.

Are you willing to pay for lessons and then walk out?
1
@ffroosty Doesn't that seem like another version of people who have to sit at the back of the bus?
1
@Nitropig The professor knew he was going to be breaking a university policy and he said his own warning. That's why he was fired. She wasn't crying. She was exercising her legal right as an American citizen. Any chance this is a Republican strategy to turn whites against coloreds?
1
@John-jz7zz Thanks for asking. The primary theme of this video is respect for your Savior, what involved blasphemy by showing a rendering of her Prophet. If it was an actual photo or video it would be different. Jesus of Nazareth didn't want anyone drawing or painting Him. That's what make no graven images mean. Is this a new thought for you? Nobody in the Holy Bible is white. Somehow typing that here feels controversial.
1
@ffroosty I see you know plain idiocy. It's on you. The teacher was being confrontational on purpose, stating that beforehand, why he was fired. No doubt trying to promote a Republican agenda. At least you recognize she's a girl. Many Republicans have problems with sexual identification.
1
@John-jz7zz I can understand having a confrontation, but not promoting them. And a confrontation is not an open debate. The teacher was fired. I rest my case.
1
The teacher chose first. That's why got fired. He knew he was doing something wrong. Jesus of Nazareth said "Make no graven image of me". See any non-Christian art lately?

@lymarie1974 Please, don't hesitate to say thank you, or thank you very much, in English followed by your language. It's a better touchstone that helps see you as your culture or foreign country. Why repeat saying thank you without adding more flavor? A Gaelic greeting, blessings on you, Bay-an-uck-let.

Nomen Clature What? Didn't you search to see if it was true? Graven images. Anthropologists estimate it took over a hundred years before locals began making drawings. It took over two hundred years for the followers of Buddha to do that. Now, a man like Donald Trump can said to be called by God and it's instantly seen and heard around the world, if you want it and it is for free, unless you don't think your tax dollars are paying for it. American taxpayers paid to built the world wide web, but they don't get any financial benefits.
1
Nomen Clature You're calling me a liar. I'm outta here.

@Cecilia-ky3uw You are the one saying "pictures of jesus aren't allowed", and you're the one saying they were in the class. Legally, they're not supposed to be.
1
@Cecilia-ky3uw I had to look back to see what was happening. I must have been thinking it was someone else when I replied to you.
1
@Cecilia-ky3uw I just saw a previous comment of yours where you said there was "a picture of jesus". I never denied it. You should wonder why Americans are having problems with that.
1
@blnunya6689 Yes, legally and in every other social way.
1
@Cecilia-ky3uw You must be eating happy pills. If you don't know about all the religious strife and self-sanctified righteousness going on in America, stay that way. The heavens, sorry, the sky, will look better that way.
1
@Cecilia-ky3uw You got back to me right away but this display stops at "their anger towards". You are exaggerating on purpose. This is no destruction in academic freedom, unless you want to talk about Governor Ron DeSantis and his book banning. The woman who protested was not angry, she was exercising her legal right as a citizen. I know many Americans have problems with that, especially insurrectionists. Have you been asked lately? Are you an insurrectionist or you a loyalist?
1
@blnunya6689 When you say legal pictures in a classroom, the first one is a photo of a president. The American Constitution has a big part about "separation of church and state", but as you know religion has become a big part of American politics. Life is changing. Here it is, halfway through January in the Niagara Peninsula, Canada, and it's raining, no snow or ice.
1
@blnunya6689 Thanks for all the info, but if Americans think it's in the constitution that's what they think. That's what I thought. If early Americans fought a war with England they would have lost. England was looking at a new colony, and without gold it wasn't worth it. It took Europeans becoming addicted to a new crop, tobacco, before they got interested. The Church of England, The Anglican Church, is a left-over from the Vatican. A religion is an organization. That doesn't mean you get spiritual events. That's free, if you can reach them.
