@zaram131 I was lucky in 1980, here in Canada, before American safety restrictions took hold. I was filling in for an injured guitarist, flying out east to play military bases. After midnight, the stewardess was asking why I wasn't sleeping, and I said it's too exciting to be in this jet. She got a box from the back and invited me to come up and sit between the pilots, watching the clouds come at us for over twenty minutes, before it was time to land, wonder-full.

That line was good for selling tickets, but it's wrong. As a percentage of use, far more people have died in crashes and attacks in airplanes than any cars.

@stevorules1820 Thanks for asking. Statistics about car and plane deaths in the United States are debatable, just like the pandemic. You might have 100 car crashes where a total of three or five people might get killed. You can have one plane crash where over 200 people are killed. I like watching the Flight Channel to see plane crashes. It's surprising how many American military air-craft crash landing, taking off or into each other. They probably don't count for urban statistics.

@twisterman101new4 Do you have stock in an airplane manufacturer? Do you still think nuclear power is a good idea? Are you angry at North Korea because they didn't let the Yanks conquer their entire country? That's all so old school. In the United States airlines don't profit from passengers because airlines are there to subsidize military manufacture and fuel production. You know how passengers get treated at airports.

@twisterman101new4 I can't see myself accusing you of not being informed, and what we're talking about is a matter of perspective. I'm going to hit you up again. In the 1960s there were many predictions that by the year 2,000 everyone would be driving cars that fly. What happened there?

@twisterman101new4 My talk of flying cars is relevant, just like your claims of aviation safety. Both of them haven't happened.

@twisterman101new4 I've seen a few, but you have to admit, everybody isn't driving flying cars. The artists' depictions of flying cars had jet exhausts at the back, and those designs made it as rear finned tail-lights for cars, in America.

@twisterman101new4 Ignoring the facts, ignoring what has gone on before you, ignoring reality, is what great artists have to do before they come up with their own creativity. I'm ready. Ignore everything here. Invest in me.

@Ferna6272 Think of those birds that can soar across the Atlantic, and think I don't have wings if the plane goes down. Now think of sitting on the deck of an ocean-going vessel, seeing what you can only see at night, in that darkness, and what rises out of the water you can see by day, and think if this boat sinks I can swim.
