@chicodimdim3025 My hand is shaking so much I had a hard time clicking.

Don't forget you live in the United States. Pornography and gun violence were banned for national television, until "movie channels" came on TV, now showing content with pornography and violence. No-one around here debated about a movie being shown on TV as being a movie or a TV show.

@user-qr7ee2cp4y Not all news networks are the same. That's why you should watch an assortment. You might like to pick one that's coming from California first, seeing the coast, the wildfires, and then watch a hurricane somewhere, see some flooding, and then look at some old stones.

People are certainly seeking alternative realities as entertainment, most of the time.

That's like saying newspapers only print bad news.

@M.J.212 If you say it's human nature to look at train and car crashes, no, you are only wrong. Humans did not evolve with trains and cars, and I'll toss in airplanes. What you are trying to describe is called looking at the grotesque, or being unable to look away from the grotesque. It can get crazy, people gathering to watch someone hang to death or be burned at the stake.

@M.J.212 Right on, I'm good at that. My language is one of the source languages for the English language, so I do tend to get serious about it. I know you're awe-full. You just never had the word for it.

@evolutionistheflyingspaghe2702 Come on man! Even Chef Boy R Dee is beefing you out. Is that the best insult you can come up with, President Biden is hands down the worst "president" our nation has ever had? You didn't have to use quotation marks for president because he is the president. I know you want to impart the silent message that calling him president is being sarcastic, or bitterly hating an old man.

That's the social strategy of an empire. Be happy you weren't around in the 1950s and 1960s, when air raid siren tests were conducted late a night, and the nuclear clock was always ticking closer to nuclear midnight. Problems with racism, abortion and sexuality? Really? That's uncivilized.

@scabcrawler632 It's a right-handed world.

It not only is regulated, it's according to processes from Washington. Why do you think it's free here? You can upload any video you are able to, you can comment and reply without any admin oversight. If you had to pay a yearly fee to use You Tube, what's it really worth to you?

You can still pat me down if you want to.

poisonous snakes will come upon them as they lie in their beds of infamy and shame

Philoctetes, please, try to figure out when Hydra became hydro and Medea became media.

If capturing the attention of other humans is now becoming an understood commodity in the United States, I suggest going back to the source, the Canadian Professor Marshall McCluhan, who created the phrase "global village" and wrote "The Medium is The Message", a best-selling New York Times book in late 1960s.
