  2.  @TamagoHead  It looks like the mayor and factory people want Nippon to buy it and keep it going, when the owners want to shut it down. It's the politicians, both parties, who are crying about not selling it to a Japanese company. That's a posture for the election, not a concern about this situation. Nothing can affect the defense production act. It is what it wants to be. The American Empire isn't defending itself anywhere.

The water must be flowing, because I can see the mist from Niagara Falls rising in the distance, when it's been gone for a while. I can sit on a beach patio at Crystal Beach and watch the fishing boats come in, with perch and pickerel. Nice!

  8.  @Chief_Hammerdown  Where are you with this? Around six months ago Republicans formed a committee to investigate Hunter Biden. Hunter Biden isn't an elected politician. How would you feel if someone you know was arrested in your city, but then Republicans in Washington took over and put him on trial? Hunter showed up for every sitting, but didn't want it behind closed doors, so Republicans couldn't say whatever they wanted. He plead guilty to tax and gun charges, but Republicans let it go, obviously waiting to use it before the election.

Where were you when Ross Perot said free trade would be the giant sucking sound of jobs leaving America, while Clinton and Bush stood beside him onstage, smiling. You have to see the United States as the American Empire now, importing far more products than manufacturing. Over thirty years ago the Chinese government owned more American bearer bonds than the American government. If China called those in they could bankrupt the United States overnight. The poorest people I know only have money.
