Nothing Trump said or did has made Canadians ramp up their border security. If Canadians did it would be for Americans coming over. During Trumps' first term, the United States didn't have extradition laws for financial crimes committed in foreign countries. Ontario passed new laws about Americans arrested for financial crimes, imprisoning them until a judge lets them out or they pay a fine.
