There was a time In America when women had to bleach their hair white before coloring it. That's when you had to warm up a kitchen oven at 450 degrees for 15 minutes before using. Women who were bleaching their hair for dyes lost it by the time they turned 50.

@ In the 1960s the California beach blonde was the height of beauty for Americans, becoming the bleach blonde with silicone breasts. Modern surgery only makes it worse. I see actresses I could recognize twenty years ago, but not now. Demi Moore for one.

@JohnDoe-pk2hs I didn't expect to get an appliance reply. The rest of my comment would have been about the wife wearing a dress with heels, a pearl necklace, for Pearl Harbor, a perm, cooking in the kitchen. I don't like to waste heart, and I'm a low temperature cooker. I'm surprised people don't have just a microwave and a big toaster oven.
