  1. As a non-drinker, non-smoker, I spent eight and a half years living in bars and hotels in bar-bands, playing six nights a week with a Saturday jam matinee. I've seen severe alcoholics who start to forget what songs they know, but if they stop drinking they get it back together. I have seen severe pot addicts who lose it, but if they stop they can get it together. If you're messed up because you drink alcohol and smoke weed you can't get it back together in time to keep your life together.
