When you get older, when you have far more life behind you than ahead of you, and you see what there is in life that you want, you want to be able to go for it, or at least have a hope to have it. You'll learn.

  6.  @R2_D3  I see where you're coming from. I take off for two days on my bicycle, bike-hiking around the Niagara Peninsula, a wonderful thing to do, along Lake Erie and the Niagara River. Don't worry about me. If I did what you would call a sin I would call it a sin. Jesus of Nazareth didn't say there was original sin, that was the Holy Roman Empire, now the Vatican. My ancestors fought and defeated those people every time. You have your perspective on history, I have my ancestors to account for.

  7.  @R2_D3  Beautiful reply. I'm into it. I see sin as a concept, not a duty of being born. I don't live in a physical cave, but I'm walking around in a world where I don't fit in all the way. Can I call myself an innocent person, not really, considering everything I see around me and on this computer screen. When religion is used to justify a war, that's just the public face of the military action. Don't blame religion for that, in reality. Abortions happen. You can't stop that. The first abortions were men punching and kicking women who were showing pregnancy. Modern medicine only complicates that. If you want to talk about a woman having a baby, without any modern science, you have to admit the act of intercourse is where it begins. Life on earth. Over 50% of babies born die before the age of five. That's not a good sign.
