Florida governor DeSantis shipped Texas legal immigrants to northern states, as his part in Republican culture wars. When the horror of Uvalde happened, Texas governor Abbott didn't visit. @danb4115 I finally came up with my own definition of swamp that works for me. I see the White House as the shining beacon on the hill that it always was, and with modern tech, radiating more than just imitation Roman Empire white marble. I see the swamp as being the rest of America, swamped by so much indoctrination and brain-washing, plus bad health, it's obvious the truths, or trutes, that Americans believe divide them in half, or as independents, not at all, much like the Civil War. I'm romanticizing this. Some of my Scot ancestors and other locals were in the War of 1812, and burned down the White House and Fort Detroit. I see DC becoming a state as creating a capitol for the evil American Empire. It's not personal. All empires are evil.

@imjustmeTBD You are correct about spotting that, mostly because I didn't want to spell her name incorrectly. I have strong political and legal opinions, but I'm not hot about Americas' cast of political and legal characters, in life and in font. That font reference is about political types holding back in their involvement as government and waiting to write a book about it. Other comments put that thought in my head. I think I'm worth listening to. I don't lie.

@SaintTrinianz I'm going back to your original comment, about saying "We, the people". That's wrong. The Constitution, as a federal government document, can say that, as it addresses the governance of the entire country. Kings and Queens can say that, what is called "the royal we", because they're speaking for a nation. The United States is a Republic. There is no "we" as a people. You know that. It's racist, sexist, and financial fraudulent, only divisive, and gamed that way. Americans themselves say other Americans aren't Americans because they're not like them, and that not liking has many ways to not like. Don't sit back and think you're part of we the people, it's you and what you can do for yourself, no matter the party membership. I got to vote for myself. That's so nice.
