  14.  @richardhoner7842  If all the federal government did was have schools put a photo of the president on a wall, and have all states act the same as providing the same education, that would be enough for me. As far as me being personal about intrusions on my education, when I was in kindergarten a female catholic teacher would slap my face and the male principal would hit my hands with a ruler, because I insisted on tying my shoelaces and writing left-handed, how my mother taught me. My Scottish parents had to go and straighten them out.

Saying "woke" is just bad English, like the 'culture wars" Republicans have going on. Woke rhymes with "joke", why it's easy for Americans to remember.

  24.  @pamelapeterson2987  I'm happy to see you can't generalize about private versus public schools, because you're probably thinking about education. I'm not. I'm seeing upwardly mobile and status seeking people who want to brag they put their children into a private school. That also includes parents who don't want to get busy with their children, shipping them off to a private school as babysitters.

  25.  @PhilJonesIII  Thanks for asking. The first thing I don't like is seeing her say "I yanked my kids out", sounding like a semi-violent process. Was she angry? Is she still angry? She's saying that sending her kids away to a private school is where they excelled, when that's admitting she didn't act as a mother to them. She says that's the best decision she ever made. I would think having her children was. That makes me think she's lying to make her Republican culture war issue seem real. I doubt it's a "hundred times worse" now. Past President Trump is now saying he'll give every parent with a child $10,000 a year if they home-school. He also says he likes uneducated people. They both go together.

Life is life, and nothing you described is different from what teachers go through all around the world. I was slapped and hat my hands hit with a ruler when I was in kindergarten because I insisted on tying my shoelaces and writing left-handed, how my mother taught me. That was a catholic teacher hitting a Scottish student, someone she said was a papan because I wasn't catholic, even if catholics use the King James Holy Bible in English, what my mothers' clan system gave to the world. The one thing that really didn't make sense for me was you saying you wanted your son to keep learning a subject when teachers said he needed to learn to read better. That's a modern problem for Americans, having problems reading and blaming the words.
