She must watch Princess Di tapes for that technique. Princess Di was a school-teacher first.

They have to now. Princess Di started that.

@justjulia8007 You are talking about English royalty. You have no idea what you're talking about. What if they fall back on their laws and accuse those in Washington of being traitors to England, saying give us the property you stole from us? What if you thought about their brother, who left England after his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and child sex came out? If you need a hero, a savior, you're not even close. You're supposed to be proud you have a president, not a king. What happened to you?

@cheryl1646 You must be talking about Princess Di.

Americans still spend too much of their music money on British royalties, left-overs from the British Invasion.

@ckp2ator389 What you're talking about is the basis for being a family entertainer. You can learn all about human nature and play off it for a living in many ways. Children are a prop for people like that, next will come the corgis or another breed for Americans. If a jet and a helicopter go fishing, who brings the bait? The twirly-bird gets the worms.

@ckp2ator389 Nice comment, but as someone who is probably older than you, seeing this English royal routine with children does wear thin. They'll be visiting hospitals so children can be amazed they saw visiting British royalty, and be in a public place for news coverage. If they did something that would make you think they are leaders and warriors, it would make them look better.

@ckp2ator389 You've got a good imagination, for good things. I'm only of Scots ancestry, knowing English royalty for who they are. If that's drawing a line for you I can understand. Hells' Angels have food drives and charity events to make news and ingratiate themselves with the community they moved into, even if they want to addict everyone and rape their children. Yes, that's hard-core but it's happening. You say visiting hospitals. Is that a photo-op? You don't know. Neither do I, but that's what we're seeing, for free. They're giving it to us.

@ckp2ator389 I can agree with you about national identity. That's the kind an empire has. Being a king or a queen shouldn't be about building up ordinary people, same as the pope. A king is a warrior who leads his people, a queen shares that responsibility, when most royals can't run one hundred feet to save their lives, or carry their wealth.

@ckp2ator389 I'm happy to see you enjoyed this discussion, almost reaching forum interchanges. I have to add something to your big change, what helped countries lose monarchies, and that's the telephone and radio, communications that were secret and military now available to the public, having a transformative effect on society as much as the internet has now. You wouldn't have gotten a first world war without world communications technology. It was a royal being assassinated in a parade that is said to be the cause of the first World War. The last vestige of the British Empire is their former American colonies.
