  1. I'm an old sign-painter who knew how predatory Toronto is already. When I parked my van in a parking spot, beside the curb, with a parking meter, I knew enough to look around for signs on buildings or poles. I looked. After I put money in the meter and started to walk away, a man in a uniform came over and started to write out a ticket. I asked him to show me where it says I can't park and he said look at the bottom of the meter. I did, and a small piece of metal that was pop-riveted to the underside said "No parking at any time". Toronto!
