Having one Republican senator vote against it is Republican Party strategy. If the tide of political opinion was going to turn against President Trump, as it surely has now, at least one Republican would have the perceived authority of doing that. Having the backing of the Mormon church and their wealth would be a new source of voter base and money to help start a new political presence.

@MrDXRamirez : You'll probably end up having to give them 10% of everything you make and donate every time you see them at your door. Other countries that have already declared them a cult won't recognize them as an American government. You'll probably get very bored when you spend so much time with your head bowed and your eyes closed, and if you're not into their choir music too bad, that's all you'll hear. That's when all the catholic countries around the world will lend their armies to the pope so he can take over. Something tells me Americas huge Muslim population won't help you.

I don't see anyone blaming some of these actions on people being meth-heads. They act like it.
