@zedwolf1589 : I truly appreciate everything you say about your land, and as for my land, it would be a good family and ancestral history to hand down, but I'm the last one left in my family and clan in Ontario. I can't imagine eating the small acorns around here. The ones I'm talking about are around two inches long like nice grapes. When they fall off the tree you can pinch the skin open and it's all white meat. I can eat 25 or 30 at one time, if I'm hungry. I just deleted and will stop talking about myself. Kah-ge-ga-gah-bowh, He Who Stands Forever, under the English name George Copway, was the first North American native to publish a book, 1850. He wanted to open the hearts of the white man so they would see the life of nature around them. It made me cry a few times, how he described where I live, a summer camping ground. "The Traditional History and Characteristic Sketches of the Ojibway Nation". He was an elder who lived south of Georgian Bay, somewhere I have been. I was talking with two Ojibway women in Niagara Falls two days ago. It's available on "Internet Archive". I have passed out three of these books, always looking. I am confident if you read this book you would be amazed at some of what he says. I still am, and it's a beautiful amazement to walk around with. Bay-an-uck-let, blessings on you in Gaelic.
