But at least as stated here ("which is how we know it's just a lifeless rock"), periodicity doesn't prove or disprove life - it's just rotational movement that we know happens everywhere around us. Earth has a rotation period too, and here we are. 😄The celestial bodies in our solar system also have periodic rotations and no life, as far as we know.
