You can't expect the whole truth and nothing but the truth from a CEO but he's done surprisingly well in this interview. Such a stark contrast compared to Mary's BS... I really hope Ford succeeds in getting out of this mess. Of course profits from EVs are not easy when you're late to the game, but hopefully they will get there in time. Tesla leads the US EV market but the Chinese will come strong and it will be really tough for Ford and GM. Not great chances for either, but Ford looks more grounded in reality, which is the right mindset if you actually want to make it. :P

@WhittyPics Tesla makes profit from EVs, which is not a secret, considering their financial statements are public. Now in regards of battery cost, Tesla is also working on it, by reducing it with the new 4680 batteries. They aim for a 56% reduction in cost, but we'll see. However, they're not the only ones working on innovation. And as with many technologies, the more research and development goes into it, the more streamlined those things become. Smartphones were expensive early on, and now you can get one, albeit mediocre, for under $100. Battery cost has gone down in recent years and will keep going down for a while. And while I don't expect them to cost $2000 any time soon, it's hard to argue that a 10-15 year old ICE car doesn't require a lot of money for consumables, maintenance and service. There's always cost involved. This is simply about switching to technologies that are better for the environment. And hopefully it won't take too long before we find something even better, but hey... huge changes aren't easy.

@christopherhamilton5557 Considering the insane claims the president made at the GM event, integrity jumped out the window. This is full blown politics and more weird things will likely happen.
