13:37 Astronauts returning to Earth from LEO after 6 months only need a few days to get back on track. Landing on Mars, which has about a third of Earth's gravity, would be significantly easier for those on board. So even without artificial gravity, taking the lessons learned from the ISS - doing physical workout - would allow people to start doing things quite soon after landing. However, the mission profiles can easily include on-board light work that can be done even immediately after landing. And if we push those rockets fast enough to Mars to reach it in 4 months or less, it will be even better.

@pappag24 Dozens of assistants, but that's going from microgravity to 1G after 6 months. After a 4-5-months trip, going from microgravity to 0.38G should be quite gentler. Not necessarily easy, but likely easy enough to manage on their own if they take it slow for a few days.

@pappag24 My bet is they will rather try to get there as fast as possible. Artificial gravity complicates the mission profile more than it's worth. Ideas are all fine, but consider a tether failure and two ships that would have to waste a lot of fuel to stabilize their trajectories and use whatever fuel they have left to slowly return home alive or at least get close enough for someone to rescue them. Losing the path to Mars is literally mission failure and a high risk of losing the crew.
