  1.  @apollolux  The short array syntax was added in PHP 5.4, which was released 12 years ago and reached its EOL almost 9 years ago. You're hard pressed to find a hosting service that doesn't have a PHP version supporting the new syntax. And if someone still uses extremely old, immature and insecure PHP versions, they deserve whatever happens to their websites.

  2. 6:10 Interesting... considering the array syntax used, it makes sense the dev called PHP "dead". It probably died for him over 12 years ago, before PHP 5.4 - which added the short array syntax [ ] alongside array(). 😆
