A disk image is useful, but exporting virtual appliances is even better because it also saves the VMs configuration, so the users don't have to choose the OS type, CPU/RAM/etc. Just be careful not to include a bridged network adapter tied to your physical hardware, but rather use NAT, so people won't have to change any setting. Looking forward to seeing the new videos! :)

Since when having 4GB of RAM is insufficient to install an operating system? This is madness. :P 512MB of RAM ought to be enough to install any operating system. Well fine, make it 2GB, so the installer won't choke while unpacking anything. But the new Anaconda ssssucks - badly. And 3rd party repositories are still a must. We have no indication we'll have free software to cover more advanced needs, like the usual stuff available in Photoshop but not GIMP or other free software, or other commonly used stuff that's in Premiere but not in any other free software. It's better to run some proprietary software on an operating system that's free software, than to run some free software in a mostly closed source proprietary software environment.

This release should be called Impish Gnome+Canonical. The poor integration of snap into this Gnome release is just sad. I don't know how many people at Canonical worked on this release, but it doesn't look like proper QA has been done. Clearly snap is a company strategy/politics, but other than that... it's Quality Assurance. It's not as bad as their first Unity release, but not far either. Seeing this only make me think that the Linux Mint team made the right choice to not use Gnome and snap. But how close is this really to a "normal" Gnome experience?

Ooof, dusty as heck. Is it hard to pull its key caps off? I know some keyboards suck at that, but plenty are reasonably easy to de-cap and put back together. It's just time consuming, but still worth doing. :)
