@RogerM88 "Too simplistic" is subjective to one's needs and expectations. I for one dislike lots of buttons and controls everywhere. I get that there are plenty of people who want them, but Teslas generally have simpler interiors and they're quite popular. There's obviously a market for this. Now cars retaining value is another subjective criteria when considering how people feel about them. Technically speaking, all cars need maintenance, so in this regard everything becomes old and needy, but I don't see how people wouldn't appreciate good vehicles, regardless of being the first or third generation. The design is also subjective, it's not worth arguing with people preferring one brand/model or another, so the real value is a combination of the technical state of the car and how much someone likes it.

@RogerM88 It's not just a way to save cost. It's a style that some people prefer. And to put some reality on your sun-broken screens, that's not a pocket calculator display in a Tesla. The company is run by a guy who puts touch displays to control a capsule flying to space. I don't know why you'd assume he would use screens that would break from plain sunlight. That's insane.
