That was childish. In a world of people who make cringey statements on social media, be a person who does better, instead of being more cringey. Or admit you're not better and move along. By the way, just a few months ago I couldn't download my data from facebook - it just didn't work. I filed a complaint and a few days later I could download my data. A developer is supposed to know that software can fail sometimes. Even the infrastructure can fail. Maybe it was a temporary issue that allowed me to grab my data at a later date without anyone's intervention. How is it that a software engineer can't even consider such glitches? Like all software, even Notepad++ has had bugs. I'll love Notepad++ to the end of time. It's a fantastic editor and the developer has been doing a great job for many years now, so he's long earned my respect. But I do think that he could've gone his way without a hissy fit. He also seems politically immature. Allowing others to plant radical ideas in your head without challenging them is just weird. When it comes to politics, it seems like some people use whatever bad words they randomly come up with against people who don't align with them. A few years ago it was about some isms, now it's a different kind of isms. I wonder what the next set of isms will be, or if seeing their accusations fall flat will make them rethink their stance on those who don't sing their tune.
