  1. Hendrix was just an average player, but he was flamboyant and histrionic, which made him stick out. His playing was certainly good but NOT that great. There was way better players before and there's way better players after him. But people are sheeps and they will repeat every uneducated opinions they hear.

Robert Fripp, John Petrucci, Harvey Mandel, Scotty Moore, Cliff Gallup, Junior Barnard, Danny Gaton, Brian Setzer, Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads, Brad Gillis, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Ritchie Blackmore, David Gilmore, Andy Summers, Tal Farlow, Emmett Chapman and yeah, Clapton is better than Hendrix. And the BEST guitar players ever...are not guitar player they are violinists. Vivaldi and Paganini started it all!
