  3. Fun fact. Obama created more jobs than trump, had better "best months" in job growth and had higher GDP numbers. Not sure what, aside from number of times impeached, has trump beaten Obama at anything.

  4.  @wheelman1324  because Obama had to bring the economy back from such a big hole Bush jr left it in; he really had nowhere to go but up. Because of that he was able to post some pretty impressive job growth and quarterly GDP numbers.

Bill Clinton ended his two terms with a balanced budget and the economy doing well. More importantly it was healthy. Then his two terms ended and Bush jr came to power. He comes In and has all this cash in the government's hands so he signed into law the American dream downpayment act. Because of that bill, banks were allowed to issue loans using poor sources of income as proof of income. Some even going as far as excepting welfare recipients. It was because of this there were all these crappy mortgages that the banks wanted to offload. That's where derivatives come into play. They are far too complicated to explain here. Let's just say the financial market ended up being built on a house of cards. Just as Bush jr was ending his two terms the collapse came in 2008. Just two months before Obama took power. He brought the economy back and trump rode his wave up. I am 43. I lived through this as an adult. I am sorry they didn't teach you better in school because it's not your fault if you weren't told.

Either way this is two republicans in a row that tanked the economy. Pretty sure we are done with republican leaders for a decade or two.
