@lao8006 pleading the 5th is essentially an admission of guilt. It's the right not to self incriminate. It is illegal otherwise to not answer questions so a jury can infer guilt by them pleading that.

Pretty sure the DOJ isn't pointing fingers here. They take responsibility for the search but trump takes responsibility for keeping top secret documents.
