@teresaphillips2940 look at the human rights laws that have passed. Black people, minorities, lgbtq communities ect. That's moving left and I also point to the lack of popular vote in a national campaign in forty years. Also, the demographics of the republican base is aging out.

The republican party of today is no Regan party that's forsure. They're the party of Karen's and hypocrites. They deny common sense and science until they need it. The party that has no ones back but their own and willing to flush decades of alliances at the drop of a Maga hat. The party who doesn't question the party line and believes everything they're told. The party that supports an online entity called Q that has never been right once but would follow it into civil war when prompted. The party that forgot its part of a republic and not the only ones in America. That's who the modern Republicans are

@KentuckyBucky the left is hardly done. The country had continually moved left over the last 100 years and isn't done yet. Fun statistic, 60% of the registered republican party is over 65 years old. That doesn't look good going forward.

I think what ghost is trying to say is Republicans never gave trumps impeachment a fair look. They did everything in their power to put out a false narrative both times. Like the "perfect phone call". I ask you two questions on that, first, why did he hold aid already ok'd by the pentagon. Second, Why did he release that aid 54 days later, 4 days longer than legally allowable? Ukraine was under attack at the time and needed that aid to protect against our enemy that's attacking them.

@teresaphillips2940 how was that a racist policy. At the time(I'm sure you are too young to remember) crime was bad. The bill had bipartisan support. They now admit it was the wrong way to go. I would rather someone who makes up for their mistakes than someone who denies making them at all.

Secondly, stats show that 60% of registered Republicans are over 50. Third, just be abuse both parties voted for those rights just proves my point that the nation moved left. The trump movement is just a backlash against progress. It's a pendulum. Every time it swings one way there is an equal reaction the other way. Look at the Civil rights movements and the conservative backlash in each movement.
