Imagine how well their lives would go. Imagine if the flyovers didn't get the financial assistance they get every year. No paving done anymore, minimal health care, no welfare, no social security. Even in those red states, generally the bulk of their tax basecomes from the blue cities within that state. Just Google Brookings institute red vs blue gdp

Only 25% of 5heir states annual budget comes from tax collection. The rest is from the federal government. Could you imaging if Kentucky lost 75% of its budget? It would be anarchy.
