@brandonsimpkin9080 Detroit's demise was the auto industry pulling out. That wasn't a state level problem, it was cheaper labor in Mexico. It hit Ontario Canada hard as well.

@edwardfala7723 every red state except Texas and Alaska takes a handout every year. Those dollars come from states like California. Maybe they would do better if they didn't have to help pay for red states.

@brandonsimpkin9080 I agree. Some need work but seeing as they're the biggest state in the union I don't see how anyone can really critique them. Would it be fair to say that if every state had California's policies that they would be doing better?

@brandonsimpkin9080 first off the Exodus from NY and California is because of trumps tax bill. It eliminated federal housing deductions that have been there for decades. It cost me 50K so far but many of my neighbors went bankrupt or moved.
